MOVIE STARS' MASKS WIN PRIZES - Actress Loretta Young (center) won first prize for the most beautiful mask at a benefit party given in Los Angeles Saturday for St. John's hospital in Santa Monica. Her mask, modeled after a Hindu temple and decorated with costume jewelry, won over the jewel and peacock-feathered creation worn by Irene Dunne (right). The crystal-bedecked mask worn by Lana Turner (left) was a close third. Many Hollywood stars turned out for the benefit, and some wore masks costing several hundred dollars. The one worn by Lana Turner was reported to have cost $300. (Remark: this would be about $2.800 nowadays)
