1943 - at home

GRACIOUS LIVING WITH A GRACIOUS LADY... Irene Dunne, glamorous homebody, takes great pride in her lovely Beverly Hills home. When not working, the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer actress, keeps her hand in the domestic doings at home -- and loves it. Soon to star opposite Spencer Tracy, in "A Guy Named Joe", Miss Dunne takes time out to pose for a few stills around her home. 

There will be a crisp green salad, romaine lettuce with fresh tomatoes, with marinated French dressing.

In 1943, Irene spent a day with a photographer from MGM - some of the photos shot that day are on the site. I assume, that appointment was part of her contract.

I simply love the expression "glamorous homebody", because combining those two words sounds like trying to square the circle, but maybe that´s simply what Irene did through all those years - and sucessful at that!
