"The Doctor Takes A Wife" is, of course, a reference to the Loretta Young/Ray Milland comedy of the same title from the year 1940. Funnily enough, that´s one of the two Loretta Young films which combined with Irene´s "Theodora Goes Wild" and "Together Again" were released as "Srewball Icons Vol.2."
